Congress shut-down in Chhattisgarh affects life

Normal life was affected in Chhattisgarh Wednesday because of the shut-down called by the Congress following the death of at least 12 women in Bilaspur district at a government camp for tubectomy.
Schools were shut and traffic was disrupted in the capital as well. Elsewhere, workers of the Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress disrupted the traffic, affecting day-to-day life.
The impact of the shut-down was seen in Bilaspur district also where the women underwent tubectomy surgery at a district hospital Saturday. Most of the education institutes were shut down in the district.
The party's state unit shief Bhupesh Baghel said the death of the dozen women was a serious matter and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state is answerable to the people.
