Father kills three daughters in Pakistan

A man was arrested on Saturday for killing his three daughters and for attempting to murder his wife in Pakistan's Punjab province.

According to the police, 40-year-old Ahmed Yar had a domestic dispute with his wife, Shakeela, after which she went to live with her family, Geo News reported.

Yar then strangled his three daughters, identified as 11-year-old Zainab, 7-year-old Zameera and 5-year-old Maryam, and travelled to his in-laws' house and attacked his wife with a sharp-edged weapon.

He was caught while trying to escape.
