Modi sends Pranab Mukherjee birthday greetings

The PM said that few people could match the President's political experience and stature

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday wished President Pranab Mukherjee on his birthday and said 'few people can match his political experience and stature'.

"Warmest birthday greetings to our dear Rashtrapati ji, Pranab Mukherjee. May he remain in the best of health and lead a long life," Modi said.

"It takes just one interaction with Pranab da to marvel at his intellect, sharp mind, deep knowledge and insight on a wide range of issues," he said.

The prime minister said, "Pranab da has given his life to India. Few people can match his political experience and stature. We are honoured to have a president like him."

 

Mukherjee was born in Mirati in Birbhum district of West Bengal December 11, 1935.
