Five killed in Afghanistan shootout

At least five people were killed when Taliban militants attacked a vehicle in Afghanistan's Laghman province, an official said Tuesday.

"Armed militants fired on a running sedan along a road in Alinagar district late Monday," Xinhua quoted the official as saying.

An off-duty policeman was among the killed, the official said.
