Focus on women's safety, Delhi LG urges police

Delhi's new Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung Monday visited the police headquarters and extorted officers to pay more attention to crimes against women.
"Jung's first visit to Delhi Police headquarter was to meet the officers and to know their working," a senior officer told IANS.
He stayed for around two hours and visited the police control room and other units, including the media room.
A presentation was also made by police officers.
While interacting with senior officers, Jung asked them to pay more attention to crimes against women.
He appreciated the effort of force, stating that they are doing a lot to prevent crimes but lot more can be done.
A 1973-batch Indian Administrative Service officer and former vice chancellor of Jamia Milia University, Najeeb Jung took the charge as Lt. Governor July 9, replacing Tejendra Khanna.
