IIT-Roorkie alumni visit Lucknow metro, discuss progress

A delegation of 30 members of the Indian Institute of Technology-(IIT-R) alumni association were briefed about the the Metro project on Thursday, an said.

Kumar Keshav, of the Metro briefed them how a small team of technically competent and motivated engineers went on to create history by accomplishing a dream into reality in just three years.

"Engineers from the IIT-and from other top engineering colleges across the country are the brains behind the success of the Metro Rail project," Keshav said while interacting with the group.

A further informed IANS that it was a very nostalgic and proud moment for Keshav as he himself is an IIT-alumnus.

At the Transport Nagar Metro depot, the delegation was briefed about the technical features and characteristics of the project.
