Iranian deputy foreign ministers and the US held a fresh round of talks over Tehran's nuclear program in the Swiss city of Zurich.

During their Two and a half hour meeting Friday, the two sides discussed certain issues of difference, Press TV reported.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi leads the Iranian negotiating delegation in the talks which will continue Saturday while the US team is headed by Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Davos to attend the World Economic Forum, and US Secretary of State John Kerry are scheduled to meet in the Swiss city to discuss Tehran's nuclear talks.

The meeting between Zarif and his US counterpart will be held to discuss the latest developments surrounding Iran's nuclear negotiations.

Zarif is also expected to meet his counterparts from the P5+1 group.

Iran and the P5+1 countries -- the US, France, Britain, China, Russia plus Germany -- are in talks to secure a final comprehensive deal over Tehran's nuclear work.
