The couple, who only had a few public dates, have now decided to remain friends, reports eonline.com.
Cavill had split up with actress Gina Carano earlier this year, while Cuoco briefly dated musician Bret Bollinger after ending her engagement with Josh Resnik.
In 2010, she revealed that she dated her "Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki for two years.
