Jennifer Hudson has offered her sympathy to a woman who was chased by paparazzi after they mistook her for the actress.

The female, whose name is unknown, bears a striking resemblance to Hudson. She was caught amid paparazzi who were convinced that she was the real one, reports contactmusic.com.

The 32-year-old took to micro-blogging website Twitter to clear the confusion about her look alike with a photograph of her doppleganger.

"Cute girl! But that ain't me! I know the poor girl was like, 'Why are they taking pictures of me!' Wow," Hudson tweeted.
