Jung greets people on I-Day eve

Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung on Friday greeted people on the eve of Independence Day, urging them to pay homage to freedom fighters.

"As we commemorate our nation's independence, let us remember and pay homage to the sacrifices of the many who delivered this much cherished independence to us," Jung said.

"Independence Day must mark an occasion for us to renew our pledge to serve our nation with greater sincerity, commitment and truth, in all walks of life."

He said "we must live up to the ideals of our supreme document, the Constitution of India".
