One person was killed and two others were injured on Saturday when lightning struck Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Police said a Muzaffar Ahmad died on the spot and two others standing near him fell unconscious after the lightning in Uttersoo village.
MET department has forecast highly inclement weather accompanied with gusty winds and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.
Strong winds damaged property and uprooted trees in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Saturday.
