Lok Sabha adjourned for day, to meet Monday

The Lok Sabha was adjourned Friday for the day, after the unanimous election of the speaker.

"The house is adjourned for the day to meet June 9, Monday at 11 a.m., half an hour after the address of the president in the central hall," newly elected Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said.

After the election of the speaker and her address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also introduced his cabinet ministers and the ministers of state to the members of the house.
