A man was stabbed to death after he and his friend were robbed of money in outer Delhi by three persons who have since been arrested, police said on Wednesday.
Kanhaiya Lal, 33, was fatally stabbed with a knife in Sultanpuri area on Tuesday evening by Mithu Lal, 30, Pawan, 21, and Sumit, 22, all residents of Sultanpuri, Deputy Commissioner of Police M.N. Tiwari said.
The three were arrested from different parts of outer Delhi late on Tuesday night.
The accused accosted Kanhaiya Lal and his friend Pankaj Jha around 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday and snatched around Rs 2,500 from Jha and an unspecified amount from Lal after attacking them with a knife.
Kanhaiya Lal ran after the accused as they fled the spot with his wallet that contained important documents but was overpowered by the three and stabbed to death.

Based on Jha's statement, police rounded up suspects and finally arrested the three accused, Tiwari told IANS.
Police said two of the accused had criminal history.
