'Masaan' and 'Jaanisaar' tax free in UP

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday accorded tax free status to two more Bollywood films "Jaanisaar" and "Masaan".

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

"Masaan" had been shot in Varanasi and directed by Anuraag Kashyap. "Jaanisaar", starring a Pakistani actor, has been directed by Muzaffar Ali.

The Samajwadi Party government has been promoting film shooting in the state under a new policy.
