Military plane crash-lands in Mogadishu

A military cargo plane crash-landed at the international airport in the Somali capital Friday, airport officials and witnesses said.

The plane was reportedly carrying weapons and ammunition for the African Union peacekeeping troops in Somalia, reports Xinhua.

"The plane, which looks like a military one, crashed near the airport and immediately caught fire," an eyewitness said.
