North Korea Friday strongly condemned South Korea and the US for conniving in the "catastrophic" anti-North Korean leaflet dropping, calling for a halt to such moves.
The leaflet distribution, part of a "psychological warfare" against North Korea by the US and South Korea, was war-provoking and brought "catastrophic impact on north-south relations," Xinhua reported citing a white paper issued by the Nortn Korean national reunification institute.
The move has violated the armistice agreement of the 1950-1953 Korean War signed in 1953 and other bilateral agreements, the white paper said.
Such distribution has become "all the more undisguised" during the administration of former South Korean President Lee Myung Bak and incumbent Park Geun-hye, according to the white paper.
Although Seoul has agreed to stop such activities this February, it continued to spread leaflets that "hurt the dignity of the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) leadership and its social system", the white paper added.
