Olympian cyclist dead

Olympian cyclist Suprabhat Chakrabarty died on Thursday morning following a heart attack. He was 86, and is survived by his wife, son and daughter, cycling officials said.

The five-time national champion, fondly known as "Khaja" in the cycling community, was one of the key members of the national squad that took part in the first edition of the Asian Games in 1951 in Delhi.

He also made it to the squad in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and World Peace Race in the same year.
