One dead, four injured in road accident

A 55-year-old man died and four others were injured when the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a speeding car here Tuesday, police said.

The accident was reported around 7 a.m. from Shahdara in east Delhi.

Ramesh, along with Dinesh, 50, Ravi, 40, Kamal, 37, and Rajender, 27, was injured after the car hit their auto-rickshaw.

"All were rushed to a hospital where Ramesh was declared dead. Other victims are being treated," said a police official.

The car driver has been arrested.
