One person died and 22 were injured in a road accident in Udhampur district of Jammu region Saturday morning.
A police officer told IANS that one passenger died on the spot while 22 were injured when the driver of a bus coming to Udhampur town from Jaganu village lost control of the vehicle which fell into a gorge, six km from Udhampur town on Dhar road.
"The dead passenger has been identified as Muhammad Hussain, 34. Among the 22 injured, the condition of one passenger is stated to be critical," said the police officer.
"The injured passengers have been shifted for treatment to Udhampur district and the Army's northern command hospital," he added.
