President greets Belgium on National Day

President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday greeted the King and people of Belgium on their National Day on Tuesday.

Extending his "warm greetings" to Belgians, the president urged the king to accept "our best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Belgium".

The president said that "our enduring cordial and friendly relationship - based on shared democratic values, has witnessed significant expansion.

"I am confident that we will continue to consolidate and strengthen this multi-faceted relationship to the mutual benefit of the people of our countries."
