Quake rocks Andamans

An earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, rocked Andaman Islands on Monday, an official statement said. There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage.

"An earthquake of moderate category of magnitude 5.3, occurred in Andaman Islands," the National Centre for Seismology statement said.

No injury or casualty reported so far by the control room, Andaman Islands, it added.
