A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Friday was trading 114.76 points or 0.44 percent lower during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 37.30 points or 0.47 percent lower at 7,863.10 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,739.94 points was trading at 25,675.46 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, down 114.76 points, or 0.44 percent from the previous day's close at 25,790.22 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,743.69 points and a low of 25,660.46 points in the trade so far.
