English Premier League club Southampton have agreed to sign Dutch international Eljero Elia from Werder Bremen on loan until the end of the season.
Elia, a winger who has played 28 times for Holland, will join Saints on loan when the transfer window opens Jan 3, reports Xinhua.
In Southampton, the 27-year-old Dutchman will help Saints cover for the Sadio Mane's involvement in the African Cup of Nations next month.
"The winger will officially join Saints Jan 3, initially on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent transfer next summer," Southampton said.
Elia was named Dutch Football Talent of the Year in 2009. He became famous in FC Twente and made 33 league appearances at Bremen last season.
