Sushma meets Maldivian, Syrian foreign ministers

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday met with Maldivian Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon and also her Syrian and Venezuelan counterparts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

"Neighbourhood diplomacy. EAM @SushmaSwaraj with Maldivian Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon," tweeted external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.

"Bonding with Venezuela. EAM @SushmaSwaraj has a quick pull aside with Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez," he posted.

"Speaking with Syria. EAM @SushmaSwaraj meets Syrian Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Walid Almoualem in New York," Swarup posted.

She also attended a luncheon meeting with foreign ministers of SAARC nations.

"South Asian gathering in New York. SAARC Foreign Ministers meet over a luncheon hosted by Nepal," Swarup posted.

 

Earlier in the day, Sushma interacted with the Caribbean and Latin American nations.
