A three-day co-ordination meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), its Hindutva allies and Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials started here on Thursday, Sangh sources said.

The co-ordination meeting, going on in a Keshav Nagar Tila Kheri-situated school, is being chaired by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and he is issuing necessary instructions to the participants, ahead of the state polls later this year, according to the sources.

"The primary focus of the meeting is on the poll preparedness for the assembly elections to be held in 2018 itself," said a Sangh insider.

Earlier, Bhagwat also held a series of meetings during his five-day stay in Ujjain in the state, where he reviewed poll preparedness with national-level officials of the organisations.

"The representatives of the 34 organisations taking part in the meeting here have been told to reach out to every section of the society and make themselves available to everyone in their area," the sources added.
