Three people were killed and five others injured on Friday when a car rammed into a divider on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, police said.
The accident took place near Nagla Virbhan after the driver lost control over the vehicle after a tyre burst.
All the victims were from Allahabad and were on their way back from Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, police said. Three of the injured are in critical condition.
The deceased were identified as Anamika Sharma (50), Amit (32) and driver Amar Kumar.
