Transfers of governors normal: Paul

Meghalaya Governor Krishan Kant Paul Tuesday termed his transfer and appointment as new governor of Uttarakhand as "normal".

"Yes. I am going to Dehradun (the capital of Uttarakhand). Dehradun is also a nice place and transfers of governors are normal," Paul told IANS over phone. The former Delhi Police chief, who also holds additional of Manipur and Mizoram, will replaced Aziz Qureshi, who has now been transferred to Mizoram.

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has been given additional charge of Meghalaya but Paul will continue to hold additional charge of Manipur.
