Trials on 20.6 km stretch of Pink Line successful: Delhi Metro

The trial runs on the 20.6 km-long Majlis Park-Durgabhai Deshmukh South Campus stretch of the upcoming (Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar) are "succesfully" over, and the section is awaiting clearance from the for (CMRS), Metro said on Monday.

"The papers for scrutiny and detailed examination by CMRS are under submission to his office and after these are cross checked, examined and scrutinised in depth by the office of CMRS, further action is expected," Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.

The approval of the is last of the formality after which the line will be announced ready for the operations.

The stretch in for inspection constitutes one-third of the entire 58 km-long line and has 12 stations including three interchange stations at Azadpur, Netaji Subhash Place and Rajouri Garden.

The Metro train will cross Dhaula Kuan at a height of 23.6 metres (as high as a seven storey building) on this stretch.
