A man was stabbed to death near Gurgaon in a bid to grab his wealth, and his wife and her paramour and her sister have been arrested for the murder, police said on Thursday.
The body of Lalit, a 35-year-old resident of Mahchama village, was found last Saturday.
Lalit's wife Vinita, her sister Babita and Perminder -- who had an illicit relationship with Vinita -- have been arrested, police said.
Vinita and Babita plotted the killing, while Perminder and his brother Kale executed it, police said. Kale is yet to be arrested.
Perminder hails from a village in Haryana's Jhajjar district, while Babita lives in Uttam Nagar area of Delhi.
Police told IANS the three killed Lalit in order to grab his wealth and property.
"Vinita also wanted to continue her illicit relationship after killing her husband," a police officer said.
The three were being interrogated to know more about the conspiracy and the crime, police said.
