The Ghaziabad Police on Thursday arrested a man after a woman complained that she was gang raped by an auto-rickshaw driver and his two accomplices.
Police Circle officer Rakesh Mishra said that the woman was returning from Ghaziabad to her residence in Sahibabad on Thursday morning when she hired the auto-rickshaw from the old bus stand here.
She said that two other persons were also riding in the vehicle. The woman said that instead of dropping her at the decided place, the accused took her to Garima Garden and sexually assaulted her.
"On her complaint, we have lodged an FIR and arrested one suspect. She has been sent for medical examination," the officer said.
