Women voters outnumber men in Chennai

The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday released draft electoral rolls which showed that the city has 40,73,703 voters -- 20,13,168 men, 20,59,557 women and 978 transgenders.

Chennai has 16 Assembly segments. Velacherry has the highest electorate of 3,07,616 and Harbour constituency the least (1,89,102).
