Youth shot, injured by two bike-borne assailants

A 22-year-old youth was shot and injured by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants in west Delhi's Mangolpuri area, police said on Friday.

Police said Deepak was returning home when he was shot thrice around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

His family said Deepak was returning home after some personal work in M-block in Mangolpuri. The assailants escaped after the crime, a senior police officer said.

Deepak, who stays in Mangolpuri area, was taken to nearby Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, from where he was referred to Max Hospital, the officer said.

Prima facie, police said, it is a case of personal enmity; we are examining closed-circuit television footage to identify the accused.

 

A case of attempt to murder has been registered against unknown persons.
