Bhagavad Gita fiasco

On December 29, just before the Lok Sabha was adjourned, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee informed the House that a Russian court had rejected the ban on the Bhagavad Gita on the basis of an erroneous translation. He began by apologising to the House because his voice ‘had cracked’.

Then, so tired and distracted was he, that he said that the state prosecutors' case in Lhasa was based on "some erroneous conclusions" from a Russian translation of the Hindus' holy scripture. It was actually Tomsk, Siberia, not Lhasa, Tibet.
