Black humour?

At a recent corporate governance seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, it was but quite obvious that the issue of black money would come up. It did. And just as inevitably it was Rahul Bajaj who provided the pithy one-liner. On the question of where political parties get their funds, Bajaj, an industrialist and Rajya Sabha member, was categorical: “From black money of course.” That’s as candid as it gets. Or should we say controversial?
