Some “unknown” miscreants splashed black ink on V Narayanasamy, Union minister of state for culture, planning and parliamentary affairs and the Congress party’s official overseeing Chhattisgarh affairs, during his visit to Raipur. The Congress leaders immediately blamed the BJP government in the state for the mess. Since the incident was the outcome of the Congress’ internal rivalries, the Chhattisgarh police were prompt about investigating the matter. Within 24 hours (never mind that they take 24 days in other cases), a senior Congress leader was booked for master-minding the incident. The Congress leader concerned blamed another senior leader. Meanwhile, those who accused the BJP are now on the back foot.
