Brush off

The Madras High Court recently ordered Chennai Port Trust to stop handling all dirty cargo, such as coal, because it was harming the city’s health and ecology. In response to the Port Trust defence lawyer’s arguments, the judge brushed his finger across the top of his desk and eloquently showed him the coal ash that stuck to it before dismissing the appeal.
