Ahead of the Bengal Global Business Summit in January 2017, state Industry and Finance Minister Amit Mitra (pictured) is burning the midnight oil, literally. On Monday, Mitra held a meeting with members of the US-India Business Council (USIBC), a little after midnight, through video conference, to pitch for West Bengal. Among those who attended were USIBC President Mukesh Aghi and global Chief Executive of MasterCard Ajaypal Banga. The last Bengal Global Business Summit was deemed a huge success in terms of participation. Mitra is leaving no stone unturned to better the record this time.
