Food prices and dog biscuits

Although P Chidambaram left the charge of the finance ministry and shifted to the other end of the North Block to manage home affairs more than a year ago, BJP’s latest campaign against price rise will target him. The saffron brigade has made huge banners comprising cartoons of top UPA leaders and takes a dig at Chidambaram for one of his previous Budgets as the finance minister of the first UPA. “I had reduced the prices for dog biscuits,” says a smiling Chidambaram in the banner, while the caption reads, whenever Congress comes to power food prices rise.
