Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh visited the Kolkata zoo as part of his trip to the city and zoo officials brought a two-month old baby giraffe to Ramesh and asked him to give it a name. The minister has called the giraffe “Jai”. It’s not clear if the next animal he names will be called “Ram”.
