Jam sessions for Congress

After a facelift, the Congress party’s headquarters on 24 Akbar Road also acquired an expensive jammer. This has been installed on the roof of the bungalow just above the room designated for party president Sonia Gandhi. A party manager explained that the jammers had been installed not just to strengthen security arrangements for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Gandhi but also to discourage Congress leaders from using their mobiles during important meetings.
