CII had invited management guru C K Prahalad to its annual session. During his interaction with the media, he spoke of India’s development challenges in health and education … a journalist said India had actually done very well, contrary to what Prahalad thought. When Prahalad said the public sector had failed in providing basic health and education, the journalist shot back, “People are still interested in public sector jobs”. An exasperated Prahalad had to leave it to that, and said that the journalist hadn’t even understood the context of his talk.
