In “Accidental tycoon” (Lunch with BS, October 13), Kanika Datta has stated that the Kapu community is backward in Andhra Pradesh. That is wrong. The Kapu community comes under forward castes and it is Munnuru Kapu, a subsect that constitutes three per cent, that comes under backward castes. Chiranjeevi is a Kapu and, therefore, belongs to forward caste.
