Letters: Damn the investor

This refers to ‘MFs depend too much on corporate money: Bhave’ (June 18). It has been correctly pointed out that MFs are more interested in the size of the fund than in furthering the cause of retail investor. The plethora of schemes just confuses the investor. Often the NFO (New Fund Offer) is no different from some of the existing schemes of mutual funds. The unwary investor thinks that the NFO price at Rs 10 — as compared to the higher price of similar-sounding fund — is a bargain.
