Letters: Power-rich Maharashtra

Although the report “India’s new power hub in coastal Maharashtra” (December 9) is interesting, the list has missed out on several existing and proposed projects in the Konkan region.

According to the data I have collated, the entire Konkan region would have 50,000 Mw of power plants. This includes existing and upcoming planned projects being developed by the Centre and state governments and private developers, including the proposed Jaitapur nuclear power project.
