Maruti Suzuki launched variants of its factory-fitted CNG models last week and appeared to have immediately found a ready market in the environment ministry. At the launch, Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh declared that ministry officials would set an example and be the first to ride out on the CNG versions made by the formerly government-owned company.
