This year, one community puja pandal is planning to use scenes from earthquake-ravaged Nepal and India's timely help to its neighbour to impress upon visitors the importance of cooperation. One would also experience how an earthquake feels, thanks to light and sound effects in combination with vibrating motors. Life-sized models of Indian Army personnel carrying out rescue efforts amid the rubble in Nepal would be the focus of the decor. The organisers insist it is not the damage but the help accorded by India to Nepal that would be the hero of the piece.
