Still unrepentant

Congress MP Beni Prasad Verma, who caused a furore with his remarks about former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, continues to be unrepentant, even though both Home Minister P Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh apologised on his behalf. Two days after he made those remarks, when he met Sonia Gandhi to greet her on her birthday, she casually asked him about what he had said. Verma replied, “Maine koi galat nahi bola. Maine to aapkey vote badhwa diye hain(I have said nothing wrong, and have added to your votes).”
