It must have been a slip of the tongue. Last year, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, who was at a function to launch a six-lane elevated road in Delhi's Azadpur locality, declared: "For the first time, I've seen that a project, which was sanctioned for Rs 247 crore, has been completed at a cost of Rs 142 crore only. The public works department praises the efforts of the Delhi government." The Aam Aadmi Party is in power in Delhi. Since then, Naidu has not exactly been the favourite of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
