Automotive companies are known for their ability to keep information under wraps, especially when it comes to product launches. But what if two executives in the same company have differing views on disclosure and need to communicate in public? Asked about Mahindra & Mahindra’s entry to the luxury bus market, Pawan Goenka, who heads M&M’s overall automotive business, started answering the question and then abruptly stopped. He then humourously pointed out that his colleague Nalin Mehta, who oversees the truck and bus venture, was urgently signalling to him to not reveal more information by conspicuously adjusting his tie.
