Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan has directed officials to complete all the formalities on all key issues of state reorganisation by May 15, well ahead of the appointed day of June 2, 2014, from when the two new states would come into existence.

He also asked the officials to ensure no disruption of any kind in access to services being currently received by the common people, and to the smooth functioning of public distribution system among other things, according to a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan.

The officers entrusted with the job of bifurcation exercise had given a presentation to the Governor on employee allocation issues, guidelines, state advisory committees, and All India Service officers' allocation earlier.

In the light of conflicting positions taken by different organisations on the question of how to divide the employees between the two states, the Raj Bhavan communique clarified that all the employee allocation would be taken up strictly according to the guidelines to be issued by the State Advisory Committee, which would be constituted soon.

The Governor would review other important issues related to companies and corporations, training institutions and energy on Monday, it said.
